Wailea Horseback Adventure LLC is the newest incarnation of the successful Waipi’o Ridge Stables. Our family has moved to take advantage of the beautiful Umauma Falls and surroundings that our privately owned trails explore.
This ride is great for all levels of skills, no experience necessary. The horses you’ll meet are trail broken and patient, and our guides are experts at picking the right horse for you. Our family has over 30 years of guiding horseback tours, and we will teach you Hawaii’s own Paniolo style of riding! Our friendly, knowledgeable tour guides are locals of the area, and will lead you through rural countryside, historic plantations, lush tropical environs and to the majestic, hidden falls themselves. Along the way, you will learn about local and native plants and animals, stories of the land, and the culture of Hawaiians.
Tours include a 45 min picnic break where you can snack, swim and paddleboard at the foot of the majestic falls. The river flows from the peak of Maunakea, and its cold refreshing waters are perfect for cooling off. Along the trail, you will see unforgettable, breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, Maunakea, and enjoy our own private access to Umauma Falls.
